不気味な美術館が舞台の2Dホラー探索型アドベンチャー。オリジナル版からグラフィックを一新し、新たに会話システムやズームモードを搭載するなどの新要素を追加したリメイク版。美術館に訪れた少女のイヴは、アイテムや美術品の特性を活かしてさまざまなギミックを解き明かし、奇妙な美術館からの脱出を目指す。基本操作は移動、調べる（話す）のみと、ゲーム初心者でも楽しめる難易度設計となっている。また、プレイヤーの選択や行動で変化するイベントに7種類のマルチエンディングが用意されている。

1980年代に発売され、人気を博した初代『魂斗羅』の完全リメイク作となる、横スクロールと縦スクロールのステージがあるサイドビューのラン＆ガン・アクションゲーム。強化された武器システム、新たなゲームプレイメカニズム、そして新たな敵とステージなど、ゲームプレイを現代的にアップデート。リブートにより広がった「魂斗羅の世界」で、新たなストーリーが展開する。多彩な武器を駆使して、8つのステージで待ち構える敵軍と各エリアのボスを撃破しよう。ストーリーモードでの2人協力プレイはもちろん、アーケードモードでは最大4人での協力プレイが可能だ。
